Ferny Grove Jam celebrates 4 years tonight. Paul Morris and Linda Gough our dedicated leaders have promised they will play all the favourite jam songs since they started in 2014. So many to choose from- I’m glad I’m not picking them! Our generous sponsor, Morris Brothers Music store, will have their pop up shop with some amazing deals to celebrate. There’s more cake and surprises on the night. You’ll have to come to find out what they are!

As a part of the celebrations Derek Farell will present a workshop- Uke Tricks to make you sound like a Pro . Using some simple tricks, you can learn how to unleash the power of your hands and take your playing to a whole new level. Taking a couple of simple tunes, we’ll show you how to use your chord hand and your strumming hand to really lift your songs. This is suitable for anyone who can find their way around the common chords.

One night only – this is a FREE workshop with the Jam admission. This workshop starts at 6:00 pm before the

Donna & Dianne will take the Beginners Class at 6:30PM. They will show you how to hold your uke, how to strum, how to read chord charts and go through some basic chords. This will allow absolutely new players a grasp of basics so they can participate and enjoy the jam.

Have you been to a Jam and felt overwhelmed and frustrated that you couldn’t keep up? The Ferny Grove Jam is for you.
Paul and Linda choose popular songs, played at a nice easy (slower) pace. The songs are curated to be fun to sing, with most songs using the most common chords – Am, A7, C, C7, D, Dm, D7, F, G7, G. A friendly crowd if you need a hand just ask!

Food & drinks are available at the club. Come early, for a bite to eat.
