Westside Jam
Join the fun-loving members of Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society for a session of ukulele playing and singing. There will be rock and roll, country, pop, old standards, classics from the 50s and 60s and more. All songs will be projected onto a screen, and you can sing along to your heart's content (and play a ukulele or any other instrument if you like).
Known in BUMS as the ‘Friendly Jam’, join Sue and Peter at Sinnamon Park for the Westside jam. Everyone is welcome to enjoy songs mostly from the 60’s and 70’s. Sue will welcome newcomers, birthday boys and girls and there’s a door prize for free coffee or tea at the first break. It’s the perfect daytime ukulele outing on every second Wednesday of the month.

Event Description
- Venue: Rosemount Community Centre, 620 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Sinnamon Park. The jam is in the main building on the left as you come in the front gate. Take the lift or stairs to the first floor Function Room.
- Time: Jam starts at 11.00am, goes until 1.00pm. No beginner’s session.
- Cost: BUMS Members FREE, Non-members with a ukulele $10, anyone else free. Come and try a jam – no charge for first time players.
- Café open for morning tea and lunch. Take advantage of a great offer on delicious freshly baked LARGE scones with jam and cream, and a tea or coffee. Café opens at 10 am for those who like to come early for a chat and morning tea before the jam. And, of course, lunches are available after the jam, as well.
- Street parking on Seventeen Mile Rocks Road.
