Test & Tag Day 2026
Under Queensland legislation. BUMS Inc has an obligation to have all our electrical gear (amps, mixing desks, projectors, and so on) inspected, tested, and tagged annually. If you’ve handled any of our gear, you will notice the green tag next to the electrical plug saying it was tested on 26 April 2025. It’s time to arrange a new tag.
The annual inspection this year is:
- Venue: Coorparoo Bowls Club
- Date: Saturday 18 April 2026
- Time: 12.00 midday to 2.00pm
One of the benefits of being a BUMS member is that you can get your personal musical equipment tested and tagged. Get this date in your diary and bring your gear along. Please note, to pass the inspection you must bring (for instance) your amplifier and its plug lead (not just the lead).
Checkmate Safety will be testing equipment for us, including gear held at Coorparoo, gear held by community bands and that used at jams. Come along anytime in the two-hour time slot.
We need a few helpers to move equipment about. If you can help, please email the secretary.

Join the fun-loving members of Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society for a session of ukulele playing and singing. There will be rock and roll, country, pop, old standards, classics from the 50s and 60s and more.
