The morning began in true Westside fashion…with a huge welcome and a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday!

The crowd of about 46 players sang and played through some fantastic songs today, including a couple of numbers by The Seekers.

It was great to play Alexander’s Ragtime Band…I haven’t heard that in years. Lyndle did a great job with the percussion in The Marvellous Toy, another song that I haven’t heard in years!

Noel entertained us with an Open Mic song by Cat Steven’s…”Here comes my Baby”. Noel then joined Will and Ian, with Will leading the crowd in a rendition of “Being a Pirate”

Everyone certainly sounded like they were having a great time and loving all the great songs covered today!
