A great night at Ferny Grove

Ferny Grove Jam August

It was a very busy night at Ferny Grove last night. Linda and Kev were joined by Linda's husband, Danny, for the 1st and 3rd sets. Danny played keyboard tonight which added a great new dimension to the jam, especially in songs like 'Old time rock'n'roll' and Crocodile Rock' The 1st set included some great songs like 'Bad Bad Leroy Brown' and 'Daydream Believer'

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the first break, we congratulated our two new life members, Linda Gough and Andrew Hunt, presenting them with flowers and chocolates. The new committee was also congratulated.

 

 

 

 

We were then entertained by Annie, Kev, Pam, Margaret and Edwin. Annie sang a very clever and entertaining original song called 'Barfish'.

 

 

 

 

We had a guest leader for the second set, Wendy. Wendy led us through some interesting songs such as 'Act Naturally', 'Am I not Pretty enough' and 'Lighthouse'. Wendy did a fantastic job! Look out for some more guest leaders in the future!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the 2nd break, Donna and Derek sang 2 blue grass songs which sounded awesome. Look out for some workshops Derek will be running soon! The first song of the 3rd set was a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, 'Dreamer' and the night finished up with a rousing 'Crocodile Rock' guaranteed to have everyone wide awake until midnight at least!!
