Uke Can't Sail on a Tall Ship YET Sadly, we have had to cancel this event on the King's Birthday holiday. We will try and reschedule at a future date. Thanks to the people who expressed an interest in joining the sail. We planned to sail on Moreton Bay with Queensland's tall ship and have a jam or two on the water.

Improving your ukulele skills with Derek Farrell BUMS member Derek Farrell is planning to run some workshops soon and wants to assess what demand there is from BUMS members. The workshops will cover finger picking (4 sessions over 4 weeks), and one week each on playing blues style, improving left-hand ability and percussive strumming. He wants to know if you are interested.

Grow Your Voice with Elizabeth Ross Elizabeth has conducted many workshops and events with BUMS, spreading her love of singing and using our voices to the best effect. She is involved with many choirs and vocal groups on the south side. Maybe one of these activities will tickle your fancy. Elizabeth is involved with Queensland Services Heritage Band Association (QSHBA) and Wynnum Choral Society. She runs private vocal classes and workshops and has just started a new singing for fun group called OUR singing group! (As in “Oh You Are” Singing!) at Wynnum Community Centre. |
