Queensland Seniors Month
October is Queensland Seniors Month, and we are inviting seniors to come to our jams and enjoy a singalong. We are putting on two more weekday jams at Zillmere and Ferny Grove to give more people a chance to join the fun.

Dukes of Uke at Cleveland
Dukes of Uke is a ukulele group based in Cleveland. They meet weekly every Wednesday morning at the Cleveland Bowls Club. Led by BUMS member, Len Henderson, they play classic hit songs displayed on a screen.

Changes at WEBUMS
We thank Cath McCourt who is stepping down from WEBUMS and welcome Len Henderson who is taking over her role at the Archive in West End.
This month's jam was a fun night with around 30 players in attendance.

Update on the ukulele skills workshops
Thank you to all the people who expressed interest in the ukulele skills workshops proposed by BUMS Member Derek Farrell.
Everything looks good to go ahead, but we are still deciding on a suitable venue and date/ time for the workshops. Stay tuned to News on the BUMS website and App and the October newsletter.

Save the date for Jazz Workshop
Note Sunday 9 November 2025 in your diary. The Wild Women of Anywhere Beach are bringing a jazz workshop to the Coorparoo Bowls Club. More detail and ticketing arrangements will be in the October newsletter and on the website.
