Northside Jam 24th September

Just over 50 jammers enjoyed a great night at Geebung Bowls club last night. Linda’s group, ‘Strung Out’ opened the jam and played the first set. The energy was high as they led the jammers through some great upbeat numbers like ‘Shut Up and Dance', 'When Tomorrow Comes', 'I Feel the Earth Move' and 'She's so High'.

The second set was led by Peter and ‘Spare Parts’. The first song was a tribute to Col Joye…’Rockin’, Rollin’ Clementine’. Everyone enjoyed singing along to ‘Music, music, music’, and I particularly enjoyed ‘The Wellerman’ by the Longest John’s.

Andrew and Kev closed the night with another great set, beginning with ‘Stuck in the middle with you’. The last set also included some really familiar songs such as ‘Mull of Kintyre’, ‘Fernando’ and ‘I want to break free’. Those of us lucky enough to be sitting on the left hand side enjoyed some beautiful harmonica playing by Lyndle.

The last song for the night was ‘ Road to Nowhere’…hoping everyone made it home safely and weren’t really on the road to nowhere!!
