October Coorparoo Jam

Around 50 strummers joined at Coorparoo Jam to participate in a Jam in the last week of the school holidays. It was a fun night, headed up by MC Max who took the opportunity to remind those present about the Jingle Bums even on Wednesday the 3rd of December.

The first set was led by Blair, with a collection of eclectic songs, finishing off with a rousing version of Plastic Jesus.

During the second set Spart Parts brought us a fine collection of strummable songs which many will remember fondly. Songs included Rockin’ Rollin’ Clementine, Music Music Music, Heartbreak Hotel, and Looking out my Back Door. During the open mic break, Salli Chmura entertained us with a delightful take of Making Whoopee

The night was finished off by David Hethorn with a great selection of songs including Brown Eyed Girl, Country Roads, and better be Home soon. We headed home with a head full of ear worms that will linger for weeks.

Next Coorparoo Jam is Wednesday November 5.
