Ferny Grove Singalong Jam

What a great afternoon, with just over 60 members and visitors in attendance. Approx 10 of our visitors were there just to enjoy the music and sing. Many came early and enjoyed lunch at Little Nyonya before the jam began.

The first 2 sets were run back to back and led by Linda and ‘Strung Out’. We played and sang our way through mostly the 60’s and 70’s with great songs from Elvis, The Beatles, Toni Orlando and Dawn and ABBA to name a few. ‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond was a rousing end to the set.

After the break, the Bunyaville Buskers led everyone through another 8 songs, including ‘Heart and Soul’ from 1938, ‘Feel like going back home’ from the movie ‘Bran Nue Dae’ and ‘Things’ by Bobby Darin. The afternoon wrapped up at 3pm with a great rendition of ‘Da Do Ron Ron’ by The Crystals’.

Our next Ferny Grove Jam will be Wednesday night 19th November 7pm to 9pm. BUMS members free. Ukulele playing visitors $10. (First BUMS Jam is free). Everyone welcome
