WEBUMS in November
13th November 2025
It was an entertaining night at the Archive Boutique Brewery on Tuesday 11 November. We had three sets – all were very different, so there was something for everyone.
First up was David McGerrity, aka Tyrone of Tyrone and Leslie fame. His set was more like a workshop than a jam but challenged us and pulled us along to try new things. He led us through the jazz number Till There Was You, Blossom Dearie’s Now at Last and his own special song for all ukulele players Strumalong.

No Strings Attached are a band from The South Brisbane Men’s Shed. The performers were David, Mark, Merv, Len Henderson (the jam coordinator) and Danny. Their song choice was simple but very satisfying. It included songs from The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Cliff Richard and John Paul Young. Their performance was very tight, and they led us well.

Last up were Mark, Caroline and Simon with their songs all with a Russian theme. Of course, the songs included Rasputin, Back in the USSR and Jukebox in Siberia, and we all went home with Moscow, Moscow ringing in our ears. Hey!

The Archive is a great venue. Come and try the last WEBUMS jam of the year at the Archive on Tuesday 9 December.
