Vale Glen Allen

Glen Allen, a BUMS member for 12 years and a regular at Westside, Ferny Grove and Northside jams passed away after a short illness.  Linda Gough and Peter Grace played at his funeral on Tuesday 30 December.   

We were surprised to be told that none of his family knew he played ukulele, and it took some detective work for them to discover BUMS.  We played 'Let It Be' and the audience joined in with gusto to the surprise of the celebrant.  Glen was a long-time motorcyclist, so we played Willie Nelson's 'On the Road Again' for the many motorcyclists in the assembly.
