Ferny Grove Jam Feb 18th

FERNY GROVE JAM

Just over 50 jammers gathered at the bowls club on Wednesday night, with many enjoying a delicious meal at Little Nyonya prior to the jam.

After beginners with Donna and Derek, Linda and Kev kicked off the jam with a collection of songs with easier chords, such as “Beautiful Sunday”, “King of the Road” and “Cotton Fields." The first set also included “Cats in the Cradle” and “Blister in the Sun."

Donna and Derek entertained in the first break with “I’m in the Mood for Love” and “Blue Skies”.

Fiona led the second set confidently, taking the crowd through lots of popular songs, including “Be my Baby”, “Flowers” and “The Rose”. This is Fiona’s first time leading a set and she did a fantastic job. Well done Fiona!

The night ended with Linda and Kev leading us through some more great songs. Set 3 included “Maggie May”, “I Feel the earth Move”, my personal favourite, “Make you feel my Love” and the very appropriate “Sing, Sing a Song." A big thanks to Adrian for helping out in Andrew’s absence.

Next Ferny Grove Jam will be on Wednesday 18th March.
