Ukuleles at the Geebung Bowls Club

The Northside jam moved to Geebung Bowls Club at the start of 2022 and has run successfully since then on the fourth Wednesday of the month (6.30pm to 8.30pm). We have regularly had 50+ players at the jam. The club has a large car park, easy access and a large function room for jams and other events.

BUMS liked the venue so much, Andrew Hunt started a second event there – GeeBUMS jam and open mics on the last Sunday of the month (1.30pm to 3.30pm). This event features jam songs catering to the audience’s requests and opportunities for open mics.

For most of the time we have been using Geebung Bowlo, there has been a kitchen serving lunch and dinner. Many members had a meal before the jams and made an outing of the ukulele event. Sadly, the popular Little Nyonya Malaysian kitchen moved to another venue in February, but a new kitchen has opened serving a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices.
