Fun at Ferny Grove May Jam

Another great night at Ferny Grove, with Linda Gough and Kevin leading three sets.
We played a range of popular songs, and Linda opened with two simple two-chord songs to support newer Bums members and help everyone settle in. The set list included Desperado, Sunglasses at Night, a couple of Beatles songs, and Crowded House’s "You’d Better Be Home Soon, adding plenty of variety.

More experienced players also enjoyed a few challenging tunes with several new chords to learn! Donna, Derrick, and Kevin entertained us with a couple of old favourites, including Tiptoe Through the Tulips. 

We also welcomed a couple of new members this evening—welcome! I am sure you will enjoy being a part of this group as I do! Again, many of us enjoyed a light dinner beforehand with the beautiful Malaysian Nyonya House, Little Nyonya Kitchen with some really tasty food and good service. (Just an aside, Nyonya, I believe support the unprivileged in Brisbane with donations of food)

The final set finished off with 25 Years, which was a great earworm for all of us to return to our homes!!
