Ferny Grove Jam

Ferny Grove Jam went off this week with some great tunes and a few firsts.
Linda and Kev played the first set, including two new songs, Hold me Close by David Essex and Xanadu by Olivia Newton-John. We challenged ourselves by singing All I have to do is Dream, dividing into separate male/female parts. And also sang Lost in France as a tribute to the late Bonnie Tyler.

In the first break, Linda’s Daytrippers and Nightriders did a great performance of My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music.

The Gough family band led the second set! Some great songs in this set. Danny sang on stage for the first time, doing a wonderful job, leading Bad Habits and Brown Eyed Girl. Linda’s new electric ukulele made its stage debut in Sorrow and Marks vocals get better with every performance.

The 2nd break saw Donna and Derek take the stage with Don’t it make my Brown Eyes Blue and I Hate a Man like You.
The third set was a mix of old favourites with a couple of new songs for Ferny Grove. One of these was the old classic Side by Side! Crocodile Rock always gets everyone rocking and the night finished with an ABBA favourite, Mamma Mia.
