SEPTEMBER 2018

***NEW JAM*** The Samual Grays Jam — Sunday 2 September (1st Sunday of the Month)
Come in and relax, have a beer or wine and jam along with Blair and Andrew for a new Sunday session. A great selection of beer, wine and spirits. with 9 Craft Beers and 1 Cider on tap and a large choice of imported and local beers and ciders and wines. Big Uke Jam at Coorparoo — Wednesday 5 September (1st Wednesday of the month)
Grab your ukulele, your family & friends for a night playing and singing. All songs projected on 2 big screens and led by some of our talented performing BUMS.  Come early and have dinner & a bevvy at the Green Bar downstairs.

Ukulele Plays Irish — Thursday 6, 13, 20, 27 September (Continues every week)
Peter McMeel and Brendan Williams are bringing a bit of the Irish to Toowong Bowls Club. Check it out if you are looking for a new challenge and want to advance your skills in a new fun direction. This is for experienced players. Ukes tuned in D for Celtic. Check out this post for more details. If Musicians intend to visit they can access our playlists and repertoire via our Dropbox link. Ferny Grove Beginners Jam — Wednesday 19 September (3rd Wednesday of the month)
Just starting out? Join Linda Gough and Paul Morris for a relaxing low key jam with easy chords, that’s lots of fun. It’s also a great opportunity for more experienced players to practise their fingerstyle technique.
Absolute Beginners Class with Donna & Dianne. Before the jam 6:30 – 7:00pm.
There will be no further Finger Style Classes. Stay tuned there may be some stand alone workshops from Derek coming up!

This low key open mic is for unpolished singles and duets with a one-song-at-a-time format. Perfect for your first performance. The Thai food is great and the bar is open. Due to our jam leaders Andrew Hunt and Peter Grace performing with the BUMS Festival Group at Newkulele and taking the long way home Northside Jam will be on the last Tuesday in October. We have an extra special repeat performance of the “Uke Opera” for our Brisbane friends. Make sure you bring your uke for two sets with all the fun of our regular jam.
