MARCH 2019

The Samual Grays Jam — Sunday 3 March (1st Sunday of the Month)
Come in and relax, have a beer or wine and jam along with Blair and Andrew for a new Sunday session. A great selection of beer, wine and spirits. with 9 Craft Beers and 1 Cider on tap and a large choice of imported and local beers and ciders and wines. Big Uke Jam at Coorparoo — Wednesday 6 March (1st Wednesday of the month)
Grab your ukulele, your family & friends for a night playing and singing. All songs projected on 2 big screens and led by some of our talented performing BUMS.  Come early and have dinner & a bevvy at the Green Bar downstairs. The Ukulele Plays Irish group lead a set of Irish tunes.

TIME: Beginners class 6:30 pm; Jam starts 7:00 pm

Ukulele Plays Irish — Thursday 7, 14, 21, 28 March (Continues every week)
Peter McMeel and Brendan Williams are bringing a bit of the Irish to Toowong Bowls Club. Check it out if you are looking for a new challenge and want to advance your skills in a new fun direction. This is for experienced players. Ukes tuned in D for Celtic. Check out this post for more details. If musicians intend to visit they can access our playlists and repertoire via our Dropbox link. WE BUMS Jam at West End – Friday 8 March (2nd Friday of the month) Warm up, wind down and get your weekend off to a great start. Get your weekend started with a lively strum.

Ukuleles at the Winery Festival — Friday 8 to Sunday 10 March 2019.
Join Angie and Dave McGrath, of Mountview Wines, is hosting a meeting of The Graniteers (U3A) ukulele players on their beautiful winery all stringed instrument players welcome for a weekend of group singalongs, open mic, free workshops. *** Workshop*** Celtic Ukulele Workshop-D Tuning — Saturday 16 March. If you’ve ever thought about going to the Uke Plays Irish sessions this workshop introduces participants of any skill level to Traditional Irish Music, through the study of popular song and instrumental technique on ukulele tuned in D. Ferny Grove Jam — Wednesday 20 March (3rd Wednesday of the month) Join Linda Gough and Paul Morris for a relaxing low key jam with easy chords at an easy pace, that’s lots of fun. It’s also a great opportunity for more experienced players to practise their finger-style technique. Kitchen open from 6 pm.
Absolute Beginners Class with Donna & Dianne. Before the jam 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

This month the Open Mic performances start for our Sprukestar Quest at Coorparoo, Ferny Grove and Northside Jams.
